Police arrest man in connection with Fife flat death
A 51-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of another man at a Fife flat.
A 51-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of another man at a Fife flat.
Officers were called to the property in Victoria Road, Kirkcaldy, at about 5am on Monday.
The Scottish Ambulance Service also attended and pronounced the man dead at the scene. Work is being carried out to establish his identity and contact his relatives.
Police Scotland said they have arrested and charged a 51-year-old man over the death. He is expected to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
Detective Chief Inspector Keith Hardie, of the force's major investigation team, said: As part of our enquiries we continue to ask anyone who has information which may be relevant to come forward.
Specifically, anyone who may have seen suspicious behaviour in the Victoria Road area between 4am and 5am is urged to get in touch as soon as possible.'' Inspector Graeme Neill, of Kirkcaldy police station, said: ''Although there is not believed to be any risk to the wider public, there will be an increase in high-visibility patrols in the area over the forthcoming days.''
