Police arrest 19 year old man in connection with Edinburgh rape

A 19-year-old man has been arrested following enquiries into the alleged serious sexual assault of a 20-year-old woman in the Princes Street Garden area of Edinburgh.
The incident occurred around 3.45am on Monday.
The historic gardens, which are overlooked by Edinburgh Castle, are usually locked at night.
The area was closed to the public on Monday morning, with paths cordoned off and a police tent erected on a pathway.
Enquiries are ongoing.
