Pensioner suffers head injury in collision with cyclist in East Lothian
An elderly pedestrian was seriously injured after a collision with a cyclist in East Lothian.
The incident happened in Bridge Street, Tranent, at 3.30pm on Saturday.
The 79-year-old man needed hospital treatment for a serious head injury.
Police said the crash was witnessed by several people and officers have urged anyone who has not yet contact them to get in touch.
They are particularly keen to speak to the cyclist involved who stopped to attend to the injured man.
He was riding a black and reddish cycle and was wearing a helmet.
Sergeant Gary Taylor said: We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision who has not yet been in touch with us.
We would particularly like to speak to the cyclist who stopped at the time.''
