Two men were taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash involving a car and a double-decker bus in Fife.

The incident involving a black Ford Mustang and a bus happened on the A985 Admiralty Road in Rosyth at about 1.15pm on Wednesday.

Emergency services attended and the driver and passenger of the car - both 30-year-old men - were taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with serious injuries.

The passenger is described as being in a critical condition, while the driver is said to be "serious but stable".

The road was closed for crash investigation work and reopened at around 7.45pm.

Sergeant Chris Anderson said: "Our inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened and has not already spoken to officers.

"We are also asking those driving in the area around the time of the crash to please check any dashcam footage they have to see if something has been captured that could help with our investigation."

Anyone who can help is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1484 of Wednesday February 4.
