Fresh appeal to find man who vanished near Loch Lomond two decades ago
Images of how David McCallum might look today have been created by Dundee University experts
Police Scotland have released images of what a man who vanished twenty two years ago could look like today.
David McCallum was reported missing on Loch Lomond in 2003 - today would be his 54th birthday.
David was last seen, aged 31, on Sunday 30 March 2003 in the Rowardennan area. His car, a black Ford Focus, was found near where he was last seen.
Extensive enquiries have been carried out to try and trace David, but so far there have been no confirmed sightings.
There were potential sighting of him in Sussex in 2017 and in the Tower Hill Underground Station in London in 2019.
When he disappeared he was described as 5ft 9ins tall, slim build, dark brown hair.
How might David McCallum look today?
Age progression images showing how David might look now were created for the police by Dundee University.
Detective Inspector David Lavery, Dumbarton Police Office, said: “We regularly review unsolved missing person cases and there have always been unanswered questions around David’s disappearance.
“There have been a number of appeals over the years, including by the charity Missing People.org and on television documentaries.
“These latest images show what David may look like now. If anyone recognises David from these images, or has any information that can help our enquiries, please contact us.
“I would appeal particularly to anyone who was wild camping in the Lochan Maoil Dhuinne area the weekend David was last seen, as well as people who have worked with the homeless community in London over the years.”
