The National Museum of Scotland has marked the end of a 15 year transformation by unveiling three new galleries.

The building has undergone £80m worth of redevelopment including the improvement of public spaces and collections.

Today, 'Ancient Egypt Rediscovered', 'Exploring East Asia' and the 'Art of Ceramics' exhibitions open to the public.

It's hoped the new attractions and investment will result in visitor numbers trebling.
