Motorist Drives at Parking Attendant as Kids Arrive for Class at Edinburgh Primary School
Police are hunting a motorist who drove at a parking attendant outside an Edinburgh school as children were arriving for class.
The driver had stopped on yellow zig-zag lines at St John's Primary in Duddingston but when told to move he put his foot down and hit the warden on the leg.
The victim wasn't badly hurt but officers say he's been left distressed after the incident on Monday morning.
Officers say they are following a positive line of enquiry as they hunt the suspect.
The driver is described as a white man in his 30s or 40s with a medium build and he was driving an estate style vehicle.
Sergeant Mark Pickavance told Forth News: "This was a distressing incident for the victim, which took place in the presence of a number of young children and their parents right outside a primary school.
"A number of parents witnessed the driver’s actions and have come forward.
"Anyone who witnessed this incident, or who has information which can help with our enquiries and has not done so already, is asked to come forward."
