Motorcyclist taken to hospital after crash in Edinburgh's old town

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital following a two vehicle crash in Edinburgh's Old Town.

The collision, involving a motorbike and a car, happened on Holyrood Road at around 8.40am, police said.

The injured biker, a man in his 20s, was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.

He is believed to have suffered minor injuries.

The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident
