Two people have been charged after around £365,000 worth of drugs were seized in East Lothian.

A 40 year old man and a 28 year old woman were arrested and charged after the “significant quantity” of cocaine and an offensive weapon were discovered by police.

Officers raided the property in the Haddington area on Wednesday 11 October after an intelligence led operation.

Detective Chief Inspector Bryan Burns said: “We are committed to detecting and disrupting those involved in the supply and production of drugs within Scotland.

These seizures highlight our continuing efforts to disrupt supply routes and protect those in our communities affected by the illicit drug trade.

“This operation underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.”
