Midlothian Trampoline Park Bouncing Back After Six Week Closure

Published 2nd Apr 2015

A giant trampoline park in Midlothian, forced to close just three weeks after starting up, is reopening this morning (Thurs). Ryze in Dalkeith shut because it didn't have a licence but it has now been given the go-ahead to bounce back by the local council. Concerns were raised about the number of injuries but the company insists its accident rate is lower than most other similar attractions. The new licence means a maximum of 125 people are allowed to use the trampolines at any one time. Ryze must also make sure they have enough staff, trained in gymnastics, available at all times they are open. Bosses say they made improvements while they were closed, including more car parking and an area dedicated to children aged under six.
