Man stabbed in chest in west Edinburgh

A 38-year-old man has been stabbed in the chest with a tool in west Edinburgh this morning.

Police are investigating following the serious assault on Calder Road at 9:20am.

The victim was rushed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and his injuries aren't thought to be life threatening.

Inquiries are ongoing.
