Man seriously assaulted on East Lothian high street
The 28-year-old was taken to hospital with head injuries as a result of the incident in Haddington just after 9pm yesterday
A 28-year-old man's suffered serious head injuries after being assualted on an East Lothian high street last night.
It happened just after 9pm in Haddington and the man was rushed to hospital.
He's since been released.
Detective Constable Ryan Gilhooly said: “This was a serious assault and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything to get in touch to help us establish the full circumstances of what happened.
“The High Street has a number of takeaways which were open and we believe that there would have been groups of people around at the time of the incident.
“Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 3564 of the 26th December, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
