Police are appealing for information after a man was allegedly robbed this morning in Livingston

Police in Livingston are making appeals for information after a man was allegedly robbed in the town this morning (Monday February 7th).

The incident involving a 40-year-old man took place on the Loan Path between Erskine Way and Logan Way around 7am.

Officers are keen to trace two men in connection with the incident - one of whom is described as a white male, of muscular build, around 5ft 10in in height and estimated to be in is 30’s. He was wearing a black hooded top.

The second is described as a white male, of stocky build, around 6ft 2in in height and was wearing a dark hooded top and black gloves.

Police say the two men approached the victim, assaulted him and then stole a two-figure sum of cash.

Detective Constable, Steven Smith said: “This was a very frightening experience for the victim and we are appealing to anyone with any information or anyone who saw either of the men described to get in touch.”
