Man robbed at knifepoint in Muirhouse

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed at knifepoint outside a shop in Edinburgh's Muirhouse area.

It happened at 3.10pm on Friday outside the Day 2 Day store on Pennywell Road.

The 45-year-old was left shaken, but wasn't injured.

Both of the suspects are described as white, between 30-35-years-old, 5ft 10ins tall and of heavy build.

Detective Constable Peter Lyons from Corstorphine CID said: “Fortunately the victim was uninjured as a result but has been left understandably shaken.

“The area was busy with passing traffic and pedestrians at the time and I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who knows who is responsible.

“Anyone who recognises the description of the suspects or who has information about the incident is asked to contact police immediately.
