Police have said a 57-year-old man has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal over a hit and run in Kirkcaldy this week.

They've handed their evidence to prosecutors - who will now decide what action to take.

The collision happened at the junction with Winifred Street and Hendry Road on Wednesday at around 5.50pm.

The pedestrian, a 54-year-old man, was taken to Victoria Hospital where medical staff describe his injuries as serious.

The "small red car" left the scene prior to police arriving.
