A man who was knocked down and killed after leaving a taxi on a motorway near Edinburgh has been named by police.

Murray D'Angelo, 28, was travelling with two other men when he got out of the vehicle on the M8 and was struck by two cars travelling between the Hermiston and Gogar junctions on the outskirts of Edinburgh at around 6.16am.
Emergency services were called, but the Mr D'Angelo died at the scene.
The M8, one of Scotland's busiest roads, was closed in both directions while police investigated.
