Man in hospital after violent attack in Livingston

The 45-year-old has serious head injuries after being assaulted in the early hours of this morning.

 A 45 year old man has been left with serious head injuries after a violent attack in Livingston in the early hours of this morning. The victim was assaulted on Camps Rigg and was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, before being transferred to Western General Hospital.  

A 41 year old male has been arrested charge and will appear at Livingston Sheriff Court tomorrow.

Detective Sergeant Lee McCall from Livingston CID said: “This was a violent attack that has left the victim with serious head injuries.

I would ask anyone who was within the Camp Rigg or Raeburn Rigg area in the early hours of this morning who witnessed what happened, or saw anything suspicious, to get in touch as soon as possible.”
