Man Held In Connection With Armed Raids
A man has been arrested in connection with two armed raids in Edinburgh.
The first incident took place at a BP Garage in Ferry Road on Sunday January 18, in which a sum of cash was allegedly taken.
The second incident, an attempted armed robbery, happened on Tuesday January 27 at the Scotbet shop on the same street.
Police Scotland said a 39-year-old man was arrested last night in connection with both incidents.
He is in police custody and is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court tomorrow.
Detective Constable Mark Seymour said the suspect was identified after police released CCTV images.
"I would like to thank the public for their assistance with this,'' he said.
