Man Faces Murder Charge Over Death of Gavin Ross in Dunfermline

A man has appeared in court charged with murder after the body of Gavin Ross was found in a flat in Dunfermline.

The body of the 28 year old was discovered in a property in the town's Abbeyview area on Thursday.

Daniel Ross, 26, from Dunfermline, made no plea or declaration when he appeared in private at the town's sheriff court where he was charged with murder, the Crown Office confirmed.

He was further accused of assaulting police in a charge under the Police and Fire Reform (Scotland) Act.

Ross was remanded in custody and the case was committed for further examination.
