Man dies in hospital after getting into difficulty in water

A man has died after getting into difficulty in water at a Fife park.

Police were called to the scene at Lochore Meadows in Crosshill at 6pm on Saturday.

A 20-year-old man who had been in the water was pulled out and taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for treatment.

He died there a short time later.
