Man dies following road accident near Linlithgow

A man has died following a crash between a motorbike and a car on the ouskirts of Linlithgow.

The accident happened on the B-9-0-8-0 between Bridgend Farm and Champfelurie House at around 20 past 10 this morning.

The 47-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Police in West Lothian are currently in attendance at a serious road traffic collision involving a Honda motorbike on the B9080, between Bridge End Farm and Champfleurie House, which was reported around 10.20am.

"A 47-year-man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene and the road remains closed to allow emergency services access. Anyone who may have witnessed this or saw the motorbike in the area beforehand is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101."
