Man accused of murdering Livingston woman - who was found in burning car

Police were called to Bathgate back in June

A West Lothian man has appeared in court charged with murdering a woman.

Kevin Hugh McFaulds, also known as Kevin Marks, appeared on petition at Livingston Sheriff Court.

McFaulds, 47, was arrested following a police investigation into the death of Ann Donald whose body was found in a burning car at Drumcross Farm, Bathgate, West Lothian, on 25 June.

Ann, also 47, from Livingston, West Lothian, had what police described as "significant" described as “significant injuries”. She died in hospital two days later.

In addition to being accused of Ann’s murder, McFaulds, from Bathgate, was charged with causing a disturbance by behaving in a threatening or abusive manner likely to cause fear or alarm.

He made no plea, was committed for further examination and was remanded in custody.

He is expected to make a second court appearance next week to be fully committed for trial.
