Man convicted for 'violent, brutal & cruel' killing of Edinburgh OAP
'Generous & caring' Jadwiga Szczygielska suffered 14-broken ribs & a ruptured heart.
A court's convicted a man for the murder of a 'generous and caring woman who was well liked' within her Edinburgh community.
The jury found 44-year-old Roman Frackiewicz guilty of causing Jadwiga Szczygielska's death last April.
The 77-year-old was discovered dead in her home at Pirniefield Bank.

Our senior reporter Bryan Rutherford told Radio Forth News: "The motive for this murder is still not known.
"The police say the victim suffered 'catastrophic injuries' from her killer's 'violent, brutal and cruel' actions.
"She had allowed him to stay in her home at a time when he had nowhere else to live - but he took advantage and abused her kindness.
"While she lay dying on her kitchen floor, he went to his bed."
The church-going pensioner suffered 14-broken ribs and a ruptured heart after her killer applied blunt force to her head and body.
Throughout the criminal proceedings, Frackiewicz denied being responsible for the gruesome tragedy.

Commenting on the case, Detective Inspector Bob Williamson of the Major Investigation Team in Edinburgh said: "Jadwiga Szczygielska was a generous and caring woman who was well liked within the community.
"She allowed Roman Frackiewicz to stay in her home at a time when he had nowhere else to live.
"Frackiewicz repaid Jadwiga by taking advantage of her within her own home and abusing her kindness.
"We will never know why he chose to attack her that night but his actions were violent, brutal and cruel resulting in the catastrophic injuries suffered by Jadwiga.
"He left her to die on her kitchen floor while he went to his bed."
