Man charged in connection with Fife road crash following police chase

A man has been charged in connection with a crash which led to two people being treated in hospital.

Police said the 27-year-old has been charged with various road traffic offences'' following the two-car crash in Oakley, near Dunfermline, Fife, on Sunday.

The incident happened at about 4pm in Sir George Bruce Road when a silver Honda vehicle was involved in a collision with a blue Renault Scenic car.

The two people in the Renault, described by police as elderly, were taken to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: Police in Fife have charged a 27-year-old man with various road traffic offences following a two-vehicle collision in Oakley near Dunfermline on Sunday afternoon.

He is scheduled to appear before Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Thursday June 9.''
