Man Charged with Assaulting Woman

A man has been charged under the Sexual Offences Act after a woman was attacked in a city street. The 37-year-old woman was attacked in Spring Gardens, Edinburgh, on the evening of Boxing Day. Jamie Hall, 22, faced two charges of assault to injury under the Sexual Offences Scotland Act 2009 when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today. He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
