Police are investigating after a man was assaulted and subjected to racial abuse in Harthill.

The incident happened around 7.20pm on 13 August when a 49-year-old man was walking along Miller Street. A red Vauxhall Corsa stopped beside him, and a man got out, assaulted him, and made racial comments.

The suspect is described as white, aged between 20 and 30, wearing a black football top, dark shorts, and trainers.

The victim attended hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.

I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around that time who may have information to get in touch with us. In particular, if you have any dash-cam or doorbell footage, please pass it on as it could provide additional information on the incident or suspect.”
