Man assaulted in Blackridge robbery
Police have launched an appeal after a 26-year-old man was robbed on Tuesday afertnoon
A man has been left shaken following a robbery in Blackridge in West Lothian on Tuesday afternoon.
Police are launching an appealfor any information following the incident which happened at around 4pm on Tuesday, 18th of October.
The 26-year-old man was walking along an alley from Main Street towards Drummond Place. When he reached the point when the alley splits off to the right towards Hillside Drive he became aware of three men running towards him.
The man was assaulted and his mobile phone, cigarettes and rucksack were taken.
Thankfully, he did not require medical treatment.
The attackers were all wearing dark clothing and balaclavas, one of which had a red logo on the front. The group then left the scene, heading back towards Main Street.
Detective Constable Ross Collett said: “Fortunately no one was seriously injured, but the man was left bruised and shaken. I am appealing to anyone who saw these men hanging around, either before or after the incident to get in touch.”
