Man arrested in connection with assault at home of pensioner who later died

A man has been arrested in connection with an assault and robbery at a pensioner’s Edinburgh home.

Margaret Grant, 79, later died in hospital following a disturbance at her house in Restalrig Circus in the capital.

It happened at around 6:50pm on Friday, 24 January.

A 39-year-old man’s due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 19 February 2020.
