Man arrested after firearms police sent to Grangemouth disturbance

Nearby residents were evacuated for nearly 12 hours

A 27 year old man has been arrested in Grangemouth after firearms officers were sent to the area following reports of a disturbance, which saw nearby residents being evacuated.

Police were called to the Portal Road area of the town just after midday on Friday, where the man was then arrested and charged in connection with outstanding warrants.

He is due to appear in court on Monday.

There were no reports of any injuries, and evacuated residents were able to return home at 11.45pm.
