Man appears in court in connection with sexual assault on teenager in Edinburgh

A man has appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court in connection with a serious sexual assault on a woman.

Mark Robert Adams, 55, of Fareham, near Portsmouth, is alleged to have assaulted a 19-year-old woman in a vehicle in Regent Road, Edinburgh, on August 10.

The accused appeared in court on Wednesday, where he made no plea and was released on bail.

He will appear again at a later date which is still to be confirmed
