Man, 20, Dies After Mercedes Crashes On Colinton Road

A 20-year-old man who was seriously injured in a one vehicle crash in Edinburgh on Tuesday has died.

He was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary after the crash which happened in Colinton Road at around 00.45am but is has emerged he died in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

He was driving a black Mercedes A200 which hit a wall and overturned at the junction with Oxgangs Road North.

Police have appealed for any information about the crash.

Sergeant Keith Denholm said: "This is a tragic incident, which has resulted in the death of a young man. Our condolences go out the family at this time.

"We are still appealing for witnesses.

"Anyone with information regarding this collision is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.''
