Major search operation launched as man falls from Fife bridge into river

Search and rescue teams are scouring the River Leven in Fife in a bid to find a man who fell from a park bridge.
Police and fire crews were called out to Glenrothes around half 10 this morning.
An air ambulance is also in attendance.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers received reports of man having fallen from the bridge near Riverside Park, over the River Leven in Glenrothes around 10.20am on Thursday, 5 March 2020.
“Emergency services are in attendance and a search and rescue operation is underway.”
Seven fire engines are also in attendance.
