Major police probe after 18-year-old raped in Fife
The attack took place in Volunteers Green, Kirkcaldy
There’s a major police investigation underway in Fife after a teenager was raped last night.
Police sealed off Volunteers Green near the Esplanade in Kirkcaldy after the 18-year-old was attacked between 10.30pm and 11.45pm.
Officers are looking to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “An investigation is under way after police received a report of a serious sexual assault on an 18-year-old woman in the Volunteers Green area of Kirkcaldy.
“The incident occurred between 10.30pm and 11.45pm on Saturday.
“Inquiries are ongoing.”
