Two lorries have caught fire on the A92, forcing the closure of the route.

Two lorries have caught fire on the A92, forcing the closure of the route.

It happened on the eastbound side just after 9:30am - when both artic lorries crashed into each other just before the turnoff to the B9149.

Firefighters are still tackling the blaze, but luckily nobody has been injured.

Both lanes is closed, and Police say they can't yet give an estimation as to how long the road will remain shut.

The public are advised to use alternative routes.
