Two people taken to hospital following major crash in Highland Perthshire

Two people have been taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee following a major crash on the A9 in Highland Perthshire.

Emergency services were called to the scene near Ballinluig services around 8.20am this morning to reports of a collision involving three cars and a lorry.

Drivers are being urged to avoid the area.

A diversion is in place northbound via the A822 at Dunkeld, then the A826 and A827 before re-joining the A9 north of Ballinluig.

Southbound traffic will be diverted on the A924 to Bridge of Cally, A93 to Blairgowrie and then A923 to Dunkeld before re-joining the A9.
