Lothian Bus driver stops to tie pensioner's shoelaces

A photo's gone viral of the moment a big-hearted Lothian Bus driver parked to tie a pensioner's shoelaces in Edinburgh.

Jackie Downie - who's worked with the company for 41 years - stopped when he spotted the elderly man walking in the street.

The moment was captured on camera by passenger Leah-Ashley Brown, who shared it on the firm's Facebook page.

It sparked a string of comments from users praising the driver.

Jennie Brown said: "Good to see, only takes 2 minutes but I bet this gentleman appreciated it for the rest of his day."

Ann Anderson said: "Well done driver. You are a very caring person."
