Livingston promoted after Dingwall thriller as Ross County relegated

Livingston have sealed their return to the Scottish Premiership after a thrilling play-off final against Ross County – with the Dingwall side relegated to the Championship.

The scores were level heading into Monday’s second leg with Don Cowie’s side racing into a 2-0 lead at home.

Josh Nisbet and Ronan Hale grabbed the goals that put the Staggies in a commanding position.

Lewis Smith pulled one back in the first half before an inspired four minutes sealed the victory for David Martindale’s side.

Danny Wilson scored a scrappy equaliser before Robbie Muirhead curled a stunner into the top corner to confirm their spot back in the top flight.

Tete Yengi's injury time goal sparked a pitch invasion from the away supporters and meant a 4-2 win on the night.

Livingston join Falkirk in the Premiership next season who were promoted after finishing top of the Championship.

Ross County will play in the second tier with St Johnstone who finished bottom of the Premiership.
