Livingston newcomer Odoffin sold on move by club's success
Hakeem Odoffin revealed Livingston's recent success story impressed him enough to make the move to the West Lothian club. The 20-year-old defender signed a two-and-a-half year deal as a free agent from Northampton on Wednesday night and is in Gary Holt's squad for the Ladbrokes Premiership clash with Motherwell on Saturday.
The former Wolves player swotted up on the Lions after discovering their interest and was taken by their successive promotions up to the top flight this season.
He said: I found out there was interest maybe two weeks ago from my agent and then it was finding out as much as I could about the club, speaking to my agent, speaking to people I know and it was a really attractive opportunity.
I have seen the story. Obviously the last few years they have surprised a lot of people and done really, really well, winning back-to-back leagues and getting up to the Scottish Premiership,
I feel that is important to keep that going and I want to be a part of that.
I am really looking forward to it and I want to play as many games as possible going forward and keep that winning momentum going and repay the faith the management has shown in me.''
After a great start to the season Livingston have lost their last four games - three of them after returning from the winter break - with the most recent a 3-0 home defeat to Rangers last week.
Manager Holt said: The form has been really good. Sunday's game was mistakes by us so performance-wise it has been really good.
We will have a look at the winter break and see if we did too much or not enough. You play all those games in December then come off it for three weeks.
We are trying to build back up so it is about getting the intensity into our play, which I think we have been about five per cent off in the games.'
