Livingston midfielder Keaghan Jacobs admits his long route to the top flight has made him all the more determined to stay there.

The 29-year-old made his Livi debut in 2007 and has now played in all four Scottish divisions for the club after helping them win the Ladbrokes Premiership play-offs in May.

Jacobs and his team-mates have shown they have the talent and team ethic to stay there after collecting 19 points from their first 13 matches ahead of Saturday's visit of Motherwell.

"I'm loving it,'' he said. "I didn't know what it would be like at the different level but all the lads have managed the step up unbelievably. I'm loving playing in it as well.

"I would have enjoyed it regardless but having to work so hard makes you want to stay there.

"We know every game is going to be a tough game and if we are not up to our best and working our hardest the it's going to be even harder.'
