The family of Sheku Boyah, who died after being detained by Police in Kirkcaldy, have been telling Forth News about their ongoing battle for justice.

The family of Sheku Boyah, who died after being detained by Police in Kirkcaldy, have been telling Forth News about their ongoing battle for justice.

31-year-old Sheku Boyah died after being detained by a number of officers on Hayfield Road on May 3rd, 2015.

Ever since his family have campaigned for somebody to be held responsible for his death.

They also want a public inquiry to be held, and the family to be supported by legal aid.

We spoke to Sheku's brother-in-law, Abe Johnson.

A spokesman for the PIRC, told Forth News: “The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Sheku Bayoh in Kirkcaldy on Sunday 3 May is ongoing.

“An interim report was submitted to the Crown Office on 7 August.

“The Commissioner continues to act on the instructions of the Lord Advocate and a further report will be submitted to him in due course.

“It would be inappropriate to go into further details during a live investigation.”
