An animal charity has spoken out against the artificial insemination of panda Tian Tian at Edinburgh Zoo, calling it "exploitation".

The proceudre, which aims to impregnate the female panda, was carried out this week, and for the fourth year in a row.

Semen from Yang Guang was used in the procedure, which was carried out by zoo vets and colleagues from China and Germany.

Experts carried out the procedure after the zoo's male panda Yang Guang was unreceptive to natural mating.

But charity 'OneKind' say the practice is "exploiting the animals".

We spoke to Libby Anderson, from the charity.
