An 18-year-old para-athlete is sharing her inspirational story and her dream of competing in Tokyo 2020 with Forth News.
Maria Lyle, from Dunbar, was born with cerebal palsy which impacts her mobility.
At a young age though she discovered that she had a talent in sprinting and started training full-time at the age of 11.
She has had a hugely successful year - just two weeks ago she won gold in the 100m sprint in the the Para European Championships. That comes after she bagged a silver medal during the Para Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast in April.
Her season has now ended but soon she will begin training in order to work towards the olympic games in Tokyo in 2020.
She sat down with our senior reporter Hope Webb to talk about her journey and goals for the future.
