West Lothian singer Lewis Capaldi is to play Edinburgh's Summer Sessions event.

The 22-year-old from Bathgate has shot to fame in the last six months, securing his first UK No.1 single last week with 'Someone You Loved'.

He is currently on a European tour and is set to release his debut album 'Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent' in May.

He will headline the event on August 14.

Florence + the Machine, CHVRCHES, James, Courteeners, Madness, Primal Scream, Johnny Marr and more are also set to take to the stage as part of the Summer Sessions event.

Edinburgh Summer Sessions will see eight concerts, against the backdrop of Edinburgh Castle in the Ross Bandstand, during Edinburgh International Festival.
