Lewis Capaldi says he's "chuffed" after Brit nomination
West Lothian singer Lewis Capaldi has told Forth News he is "chuffed" after being nominated for a Brit Award.
The 22-year-old from Whitburn has been nominated for the 'Critic's Choice' Award.
He has seen huge success since he released his first single 'Bruises' last year.
Speaking to Forth News, Lewis said: "I'm pretty chuffed. I've always been keeping an eye on when people are nominated and I always check out their music. So to be named is incredible.
"It keeps kicking up a notch, every time I find my feet and feel comfortable, things get shaken up again. But it's good, it's better than being unemployed.
"My pals are all roofers, joiners... and when I come back they're not really bothered. But I've had a few texts today and they think this is a bit mad.
"It's definitely a bit nerve racking, cause the awards and the nominees are so illustrious, you don't want to be the guy that everyone looks at and thinks 'well he did terribly!'
"This is definitely something I'll be milking for some time though!"
