Police in Fife are looking for information after a property on Kirkcaldy's High Street went up in flames last night

Police in Fife are making appeals after a building fire in Kirkcaldy last night (August 16th).

Emergency services were called to a property on the town's High Street around 7:25pm.

No one was injured and the fire service extinguished the blaze.

Now inquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of the fire.

Detective Inspector Samantha Davidson of Glenrothes CID said: “We are working to establish the full circumstances of this fire and would urge anyone with information which could help to come forward.

“We would also be keen to speak to anyone with dashcam footage or private CCTV.

“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 2947 of 16 August, 2022.”
