Hunt for men who shouted racist abuse on train

The rowdy behaviour broke out on a late night Scotrail service between Edinburgh and Bathgate.

Police are hunting a group of men who shouted racial and sectarian slurs on a train between Edinburgh and Bathgate.

The rowdy behaviour started when the men got on an 11.37pm ScotRail service on Saturday (5th Aug).

They ignored requests to calm down, using racist and threatening words towards a woman.

The main culprit is described as white, in his twenties and with short hair.

Officers from British Transport Police are asking for any witnesses to get in touch
