Police in Falkirk are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Stirling Road. It happened around 7.15am Saturday 6th February at the Falkirk Golf Club. A 58-year-old man had just parked his Ford Mondeo in the car near the course when he got out a man hit him with the door, while a second man opened the boot and stole a set of golf clubs. The man who stole the golf clubs ran off towards Camelon Crematorium. The victim chased the other suspect as he ran along Stirling Road towards Camelon and after a short struggle was punched to the face. Local officers are now carrying out various lines of inquiry to trace these individuals and anyone who can assist with their investigation is asked to come forward. The first suspect is described as white, late teens or early twenties, between 5ft 9ins and 5ft 10ins tall with a slim face. He was wearing a dark jacket, dark trousers and dark shoes. The second suspect is described only as being white, of a similar height and build and also wearing dark clothing. Detective Sergeant Colin Moffat said: “Thankfully, the victim was not seriously hurt during this robbery but was understandably shaken and upset at the theft of his golf clubs. “I would ask anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity in the Stirling Road area on Saturday morning to contact police immediately. “In addition, anyone who recognises the description of the suspects and can help identify them should also get in touch.” Those with information can contact Police Scotland on 101 or alternatively, the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
