Police in Forth Valley have closed the A872 road after a house fire in the village of Dunipace.

The route which connects Bonnybridge to Stirling is expected to be closed for the rest of the day while fire crews are in attendance.

The road closures are in place on the A872, Stirling Street between its junction with Barnego Road and Nethermains Road.

Motorists are being warned this could lead to delays and they are being advised to seek alternative routes.

Emergency services are still at the scene checking the safety of the fire ravaged building.

Parents of children at Dunipace Primary School are being informed.

No-one was seriously injured in the fire which is thought to be non-suspicious.
