Hibs sign Norwegian teenager Elias Melkersen
He joins on a four-and-a-half year deal
Hibs have added to their attacking options with the signing of Norwegian teenage striker Elias Melkersen from FK Bodø/Glimt.
The 19-year-old has made the move across the North Sea for what the Easter Road club describe as a 'significant undisclosed fee'.
He has signed a contract which runs until the summer of 2026, after impressing during his time in Norwegian football.
He's also represented his national side at under-20 level.
Hibs manager Shaun Maloney said: “Elias is a really talented young player who has genuine potential to play a big part and, ultimately, to be very successful at this Club.
“We will have to give him time, of course, to adapt to our style of play as a team and also to our league, so we’ll be conscious of this.
“He’s an exciting, attacking talent, technically good with both feet and he has good attributes to drop deeper on the pitch. We’re looking forward to working with him.”
Hibs fans will have to wait to see him in green and white, as the club wait for the Premiership restart later this month.
