Lee Johnson has been sacked by Hibs after three straight defeats in Premiership.

The fans had turned on the 42-year-old after yesterday's 3-2 defeat to Livingston which came on the bac k of a 5-0 thrashing by Aston Villa in the UEFA Conference League. He had pleaded for more time but the Easter Road power brokers have acted.

Chief Executive Ben Kensell said: “The Club has taken the tough decision to relieve Lee Johnson of his duties following a disappointing start to the domestic campaign.

“We wish Lee and his coaching staff all the best for the future and thank them for their efforts.”

Jamie McAllister and Adam Owen have also left with immediate effect. David Gray will take charge of the First Team as Caretaker Manager for the immediate future, and be supported by Stuart Garden.
